Even when the flood water goes away, the dangers stick around. In this explainer video, we uncover some of the many physical and mental health risks of flooding - joined by Professor Collins Iwuji and Associate Professor Catherine Butler. Climate change is making floods more likely, and these dangers will just keep growing. So what’s our next move?

How can we make infectious disease research more equitable? | Wellcome
Переглядів 4544 місяці тому
Infectious disease research is largely led by countries in the global north, competition and profit. As a result, it's failing to meet the needs of the communities most affected by diseases. To reverse inequitable structures, research must focus on countries where the burden of disease is highest. That's why organisations like the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) are so important. Based ...
What’s really to blame for the rise in dengue? | Wellcome

Dengue is a viral infection that spreads from mosquitoes to people. It’s usually found in warm climates and isn’t as deadly as other mosquito-borne diseases like malaria. But half of the world is now at risk. In this explainer video featuring Dr Felipe Colón-González and Dr Sophie Yacoub, we discuss how we can protect more people from dengue - as well as the big reasons behind the recent surge ...

Can we measure solidarity? | Wellcome
Переглядів 4068 місяців тому
During global health emergencies, there are often appeals to international solidarity. While we find that people do tend to exhibit solidarity on the local level, appeals to international solidarity have been generally ineffective. Dr Caesar Atuire's research aims to change that. 🔔 Subscribe to Wellcome on UA-cam: wellc.me/3Blh0c1 💬 SOCIAL MEDIA: Follow us on Twitter: wellcometrust ...

I’m a dude who just saw a video on Instagram of a mother yelling at her newborn child “I HATE YOU I HATE YOUU” and the one recording was her husband who was very concerned and stopped whatever was happening. Scared the shit outta me bc I would never want my future wife doing that to our kid. I had to look it up. Does this happens due to a lack of other experienced mothers in their life ? Like grandma’s, sisters or other friends giving a sense of supportive motherhood community?

My late Mom had this with me. No one helped her. In the States today, such mothers, if poor (there is barely a middle class), may end up in jail after CPS takes their children, accusing the mothers of drug use. It's just not much recognized here, unless things have changed recently. I am not capable of bearing children at all after emergency surgery. I had PCOS. So I don't know if this issue has changed in the US.

No such thing a schizophrenia, during your surgery, crooked nurses who work with the local serveilliance is having fun with , it’s a mind control by your local serveilliance, suck what to do. Each voice per serveilliance cops don’t do shit, serveilliance stays on you cause you hear voices. In wow it’s the serveilliance in the nurses who stabbed in back of your head the whole time. What a combination, how do get help, what to do, I’ve been target since I was 5 years old after my surgery, nurses who work with local authorities in local serveilliance takes care of the whole thing. I’m the fake 6 sense on mind control. Six sense is not real. Human study by your government. Once you go to hospital for mental they’ll never help you, I even have the eyes, sends study crazy images to your eye. Once there done they kill you in take there shit back, jeepers creepers. They making scary movies off you for fun in dumb evil money.

After 4 weeks i finally feel a connection with my baby girl. Im taking meds and hopefully will have therapy soon. Sucks i didn't speak up sooner. Would've saved me a stay at the hospital and a psychosis episode. It felt so real. Lasted for a few hours. Very scary. But im better now. Ans thankfully i have family that helped big time.

Who is transmitting voices inside my head. It is not my subconscious mind doing so. That is simply a cover story which was created by others in order to cover up the technological capability of transmitting voices into the heads of unwilling victims. It is the responsibility of the police to find out who is perpetrating this crime against me. Instead, they use the scare tactics of psychiatric incarceration to make me afraid to report this crime. Why are they doing this. Why are they miscategorising voice hearing as a mental illness when it is in fact a crime being perpetrated against members of the public and there are many scientific patent numbers to prove that it is a scientific capability and not a mental illness. Who is training the police to falsely miscategorise voice hearing as a mental illness and not as a crime which should be investigated and when will the police begin to investigate all such crimes being perpetrated against me and against many other victims of similar crimes which are being perpetrated by means of directed energy signals which are in turn being transmitted into implants inside our bodies and brains. These types of crimes are widespread throughout the world and yet the police have failed to warn the public about them. Are the police traitors to their own country men and women. I don't believe so myself because I believe that their brains have been interfered with by means of neuro weapons so that they are now less capable of thinking independently than they once were and instead they are under remote influencing capabilities. I want the police to upgrade their policies on dealing with voice hearers and victims of directed energy attacks by officially registering for further investigation our claims of being tortured from a distance by unknown enemies who transmit digital signals into nano implants which are already inside us. The presence of nano implants in our blood is easily proven by testing a drop of almost anyone's blood under a powerful microscope and it has been already found to contain nano technology in the shape of squares and rectangles and many other shapes that should not be in the blood of men and women. The police should then officially investigate who is transmitting those voices inside the heads of those victims by means of first of all investigating the private security act of the Republic of Ireland and also investigating what crimes are being committed by the private security police under the protection of that private security act of the Republic of Ireland and what crimes are then being officially hidden from the public under that same aforementioned private security act of the Republic of Ireland. Psychiatry is a pseudo science and many psychiatrists themselves are publicly willing to admit to this truth. My name is gretta of the family fahey and my address is newbrook, claremorris, co. mayo, ireland and I am a living woman and not a legal name on a birth certificiate.

I knew this when I first watched someone else play the game. I want to let's play because I didn't have time. But it was clearly bad science. I wish that Joe had been able to explain it to Ellie. Even if the fireflies had been able to create something like a vaccine, It would have been extremely limited and they would have had to have test subjects. Would Ellie have been okay with people being test subjects for this vaccine? I'm sure they would not have willingly volunteered and that would have said a lot about the fireflies. So I already knew that Joel did nothing wrong and I didn't feel conflicted. I was just frustrated that this bad science was never discussed and most people seemed to think that there was an actual chance that Ellie could have been some type of savior of the world. Great video!

I live near an old crazy home from the 20's, I walk by it when going to the store. My dogs would act funny at times and I started recording with my phone and you could hear a woman's voice, only on the video. Now I can hear the same voice without my phone. She's always calling me over to her. Been getting harder to tolerate and starting to freak me out. It's not a voice in my head it comes from a direction. What's crazy is my dogs react to this voice. If wasn't for my dogs id think I was going insane.
